Continuity Nursing Care provides Central venous access device management and IV therapy within the community and home setting. We assist our clients in administering IV antibiotic, provide care and support for clients with Central Venous Access devices, support with disconnection of IV chemotherapy delivery devices and support clients with education related to self-administration.
Continuity Nursing Care provides evidence based IV therapy that is safe, efficient, with the best quality in care. Our nurses maintain excellent infusion therapy knowledge, use infection-prevention practice and incorporate current practice guideline to improve client outcome and reduce complications.
Central venous catheters need special care. It needs regular cleaning or sterile dressing changes. CVADs need to be flushed regularly with a special sterile solution to keep them from getting blocked when not in use. Continuity Nursing Care provides assistance by doing assessments on every visit, dressing changes and cleansing, injection cap changes and flushing the device. Each intervention helps in the prevention of infection (redness, edema, warmth, drainage, and tenderness), to make sure the catheter is in the right place and avoid potential complication associated with central venous access device.
We accept clients with an established Central venous access device who need treatment administered at home.
